Collection 1: Ourselves and Others

Our Collections textbook and Close Reader will be our primary texts for studying Collection 1: Ourselves and Others. The purpose of this section is to look identity and groups. We will consider the following questions in the context of our assignments:
What makes someone who they are? What makes someone different from you? Your clothes? Your language? Your food? Your friends? The money you have? Where you live? Where your parents are from? What religion you may or may not practice? Are identities fixed or evolving? What makes them evolve? Viewpoints? Experience? Knowledge?
